Frequently Asked Questions

What is Eliko Rugs by David Ariel?

Eliko Rugs by David Ariel is a New York rug house that curates, restores, and sells exceptional vintage rugs. We serve designers and private collectors worldwide through our Midtown showroom and online platform.

Why choose Eliko for vintage rugs?

Can I view rugs in person?

Yes. Book an appointment at our Midtown Manhattan showroom or request a live video walk-through if you are outside New York.

What payment methods do you accept?

ACH, credit card, wire transfer, and check. (ACH and wire are both direct bank transfers; we accept either.)

How does shipping work?

What is your return policy?

If you are unhappy with a rug, we issue an account credit once the piece is returned in original condition. Almost no one returns their Eliko rug, but every situation is unique and we handle each transaction individually.

How do I clean and maintain my rug?

Can Eliko repair or resize a rug I already own?

Yes. Our workshop restores, resizes, and overcasts antique and vintage rugs, even if they were not purchased from Eliko Rugs. Most Eliko Rugs workshop repairs take between 2–10 business days.

How do custom projects work?

We start with a sample from our inventory or yours, identify the right colors, provide a timeline, cost, and CAD drawing. Strike-offs are available on request and take 6–8 weeks. Most custom rugs are finished in 3–6 months.

Do you show at High Point Market?

Every spring and fall we relocate to High Point Market at 108 South Lindsay Street. Because of an old building agreement, the entrance alternates each season—contact us ahead of your visit to confirm which side we are using.

Do you collaborate with designers?

Yes. Eliko Rugs by David Ariel partners with designers on capsule collections and private-label programs. Current collaborations include Anne-Marie Barton and Courtney McLeod. To discuss a line of vintage-inspired rugs, email david@davidarielrugs.com.
